MISSION:

TRAINING:
15-20min CAS theorical lesson - KEYHOLE flight deconfliction,  SHOOTER-COVER formation and TALLY, CONTACT, VISUAL call.
Basic air-weapon range - SHOOTER-COVER formation and Clearance to fire indoctrination

TARGET:

Range Normandie
ZONE 1
DMPI: CIRCULAR PIT 2  37T GG 32512 60818  Eleve:16ft

LIMITATIONS:
Stay inside Normandie range airspace during VUL time

No TGP allowed

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
  • Perform FENCE IN check according to SOPs;
  • Check-in with Range Control Officer on NORMANDIE range freq. prior entering airspace;
  • Visually acquire the target and call the appropriate brevity;
  • Perform at least 4 Mk82 CCIP delivery each within the following parameters for each pass:
Attacking aircraft calls "IN" with heading.
Covering aircraft calls: "CLEARED HOT"

FAILURE CRITERIA:

Compromise safety of flight during VUL time

Shooter-cover
In shooter-cover attacks, the shooter (always the engaged fighter) will lead the attack and release weapons whilst the other aircraft will support the shooter by:
-Scanning visually for threats 
(smoke trails, traces, muzzle flashes)
-Scanning the RWR (remember, the RWR also displays laser threats, not just radar threats)
-Immediately call threats to the other aircraft, and a directive on how to defeat the threat;

AIRCRAFT CONFIG:
At least 4x Mk82 each

AIM-9 practice
Launch'n leave tactics

TARGET:
Range Courcelette - "ACM pass" option menu

LIMITATIONS:
Stay inside Courcelette range airspace during VUL time


SUCCESS CRITERIA:
Each aircraft expends 1x AIM-9 with dash-2 as observer in formation on ACM pass enemy jet.
Review and practice launch'n leave tactics; OR
Perform low level 2-ships formation flying; OR
Get familiar with A/A tacan for ranging

FAILURE CRITERIA:
Compromise safety of flight during VUL time
